Our Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health is a nationally recognised qualification designed for those who wish to develop a deeper understanding of mental health and play a proactive role in supporting mental wellbeing within their organisation or community.

This comprehensive two-day course explores a wide range of mental health conditions, the factors that can affect mental wellbeing and the practical steps that can be taken to support individuals experiencing mental ill health. Learners will gain the knowledge and confidence to recognise warning signs, engage in supportive conversations and signpost individuals towards appropriate professional support.

By developing a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing, learners can help create a more supportive, inclusive and positive environment while contributing to the reduction of stigma surrounding mental health.

No previous mental health training is required.

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is carried out through successful completion of the qualification assessment and participation throughout the course.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive the Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health, an accredited qualification.

There is no requirement to renew this qualification. However, refresher training is recommended to maintain confidence, awareness and up-to-date knowledge of mental health and wellbeing.

  • Classroom-based training
  • Delivered by experienced and qualified Mental Health First Aid trainers
