Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)

Our Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals who work with, support or have responsibility for the welfare of children, young people or vulnerable adults.

This one-day course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding principles, helping them recognise signs of abuse, neglect and exploitation, understand their safeguarding responsibilities and respond appropriately to concerns.

By developing safeguarding knowledge and confidence, learners can help create safer environments and ensure that concerns are identified, reported and managed in accordance with safeguarding best practice.

No previous safeguarding training is required.

  • Promote the welfare and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is carried out through successful completion of the qualification assessment and participation throughout the course.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive the Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults, an accredited qualification.

There is no requirement to renew this qualification. However, refresher training is recommended to ensure safeguarding knowledge remains current and aligned with best practice and legislative developments.

  • 1 day (9:00am–5:00pm)
  • Classroom-based training
  • Delivered by experienced and qualified safeguarding trainers
