Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental (RQF)

Our Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health is a nationally recognised qualification designed to provide learners with a greater understanding of mental health and the skills to recognise and respond to signs of mental ill health.

This one-day course explores a range of common mental health conditions and helps learners understand how to support someone who may be experiencing a mental health challenge. Participants will learn how to start supportive conversations, signpost individuals towards appropriate help and contribute to a positive and supportive environment.

By increasing awareness and reducing stigma, this qualification helps organisations and individuals promote better mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and wider community.

No previous mental health training is required.

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is carried out through successful completion of the qualification assessment and participation throughout the course.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive the Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, an accredited qualification.

There is no requirement to renew this qualification. However, refresher training is recommended to maintain confidence, awareness and up-to-date knowledge.

  • 1 day (9:00am–4:00pm)
  • Classroom-based training
  • Delivered by experienced and qualified Mental Health First Aid trainers
