We are proud to announce that SEF First Aid Assistance has been awarded the Bronze Award under the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
The ERS recognises UK employers who support defence personnel. Its bronze, silver and gold awards are open to organisations that back those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, as well as their families. Our bronze award follows our statement of intent to support the Armed Forces community, and it reflects a commitment we take seriously.
What this means for us
The Armed Forces community has a great deal to offer, and we want to be an employer and training provider that welcomes and supports it. Many of the skills developed in service, such as calm decision-making under pressure, teamwork and a strong sense of responsibility, are the same qualities that make a confident first aider.
Looking ahead
This award is a starting point. We will be joining the ERS network of supportive employers, sharing ideas and learning from others, and we will be looking for new ways to support serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadet force volunteers and military families.
At SEF First Aid Assistance, we deliver accredited first aid training, including Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. Through our sister company, Flat Stan First Aid, we also run first aid workshops for children and young people in primary schools, secondary schools, SEND schools and pupil referral units across the UK.
